SOME OBSERVATIONS ON NEWLY DISCOVERED ARROWHEADS FROM THE MOLGUZAR MOUNTAINS
Abstract
The article describes two newly discovered arrowheads from the Molguzar (Morguzar) Mountains located in the Bakhmal District of the Jizzakh Region. The arrowheads have bifurcated tips and leaf-shaped blades. It has been determined that these artifacts date back to the 13th–14th centuries and were used for hunting animals and birds. It is noted that similar types of arrows were used by hunters living in the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries, as well as by the peoples inhabiting vast territories stretching from Mongolia to Eastern Europe.
